Top forwards for Gameweek 15 Fantasy Premier League is a short list. Diego Costa should crack the 100 point barrier this weekend. Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero will miss the next four Premier League matches.
FPL managers are banging their heads into walls all around the world after Aguero’s ridiculous challenge on David Luiz.
So, who steps up to take the Argentine’s place in this week’s list?
Diego Costa – Chelsea
Games: 14; Goals: 11; Total FPL points: 99
How can Costa not be in your FPL team? The Spaniard is playing so well, he is a must to get into your fantasy side.
Last weekend’s 12 point tally was another strong performance against a top Premier League team. He is the top forward for gameweek 15.
Chelsea’s next five games are matches Costa will bully opposing defences for 90 minutes. West Brom, Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Stoke are all fixtures Costa can dominate.
Jermain Defoe – Sunderland
Games: 14; Goals: 8; Total FPL points: 83
Jermain Defoe has had quite a season in terms of FPL. He currently sits in second in total points for all forwards.
If you bought him during one of Sunderland’s lulls, you should be enjoying his production. Defoe has four goals in his last five games and has averaged 8.2 points in each.
Sunderland play Swansea in gameweek 15, a team that has conceded the most goals of any team in the Premier League (31). Expect Defoe to accumulate some points against the Swans.
Romelu Lukaku – Everton
Games: 13; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 73
If you’ve got Romelu Lukaku in your side, you might as well play him in gameweek 15. However, if you are looking for a forward to add to you fantasy team, you might think twice about the Belgian.
Lukaku’s last four matches have been awful. The forward has tallied 1.5 points over that time span.
Everton will play Watford in gameweek 15, but with more difficult teams to come in the weeks that follow, FPL managers may want to think twice about buying him.
Harry Kane – Tottenham
Games: 9; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 60
Harry Kane has got it going on at the minute. The Tottenham striker has five goals in his last four. If you can afford him, he is a much better choice than Lukaku for your team. Unfortunately, he will set you back £11.1 million.
Spurs will travel to Old Trafford to play Manchester United. Spurs have lost only twice in their last six fixtures with Manchester United. Expect Spurs to put up a fight.
Tottenham’s fixture list eases up after the match with United as the team play Hull and Burnley in their following matches.
Christian Benteke – Crystal Palace
Games: 12; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 56
Christian Benteke has been in-form the last two weeks. Benteke has averaged 11 points in his last two gameweeks, and based on his play, is worth a spot in your team.
Crystal Palace will clash with Hull this weekend. The Tigers are fighting relegation and have given up the second most goals in the Premier League this season (29).
The big man is a cheaper forward addition and is worth a punt based on form. Benteke is definitely one of the top forwards for gameweek 15 to get in your FPL team.
