Gameweek 21 midfield stars have excelled over the holiday period. Tottenham’s Dele Alli is in the best form of any English Premier League gameweek 21 midfield player.
The Englishman is in our gameweek 21 midfield, but who else gets in our side?
Some players are hurt, some are suspended; so finding the right mix of players could be difficult. Let FantasySports.co.uk give you an idea.
Dele Alli – Tottenham
Games: 19; Goals: 10; Total FPL points: 115
We have preached the need to get Alli into your team over the last few weeks. The midfielder has tallied six goals in three matches.
Alli is averaging 14.6 points over the last three weeks, and his two goals nearly single-handedly defeated Chelsea in gameweek 20. Alli is a must gameweek 21 midfield player. Too bad his price tag is now £8.4 million.
Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal
Games: 20; Goals: 13; Total FPL points: 143
It wouldn’t be our gameweek 21 midfield list without Alexis Sanchez being selected. Sanchez still leads all midfielders in Fantasy Premier League in points.
Arsenal’s next three fixtures should be winnable. But hey, we said that in gameweek 20 against Bournemouth.
Christian Eriksen – Tottenham
Games: 19; Goals: 5; Total FPL points: 111
Christian Eriksen is another regular in our midfield list. An 11 point return against Chelsea gets him into our gameweek 21 midfield list.
The Dane is in great form and combining well with Alli. West Brom is up next after the FA Cup break. Manchester City follow; and hopefully Eriksen will turn in a better performance against the Citizens this time around.
We think he will.
Robert Snodgrass – Hull
Games: 19; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 94
Robert Snodgrass has flown under the Fantasy Premier League radar all season. Due to Hull’s poor season, Snodgrass has gone unnoticed.
However, the Hull midfielder is averaging 10 points in his last two games. A word of warning, get Snodgrass into your gameweek 21 midfield, but sell him or bench him afterwards.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal follow immediately. Hull are going down, but Snodgrass is a silver lining in their Premier League nightmare.
Juan Mata – Manchester United
Games: 15; Goals: 4; Total FPL points: 65
Juan Mata has been very inconsistent this term. Amazingly, Mata has done well enough never playing a full 90 minutes this season. Jose Mourinho has no faith in the Spaniard.
Yet, Mata has played a significant role for the Red Devils. It is a gamble to pick him and he costs a hefty £7.2m. Get him in your gameweek 21 midfield to take on Liverpool.
Based on their previous meeting, Mata could be the difference in the final score at Old Trafford.
