Liverpool are now undefeated in their last 14 Merseyside Derby matches against Everton. The Reds romped to a 3-1 win at Anfield on Saturday. Sadio Mane kicked off the scoring in the eighth minute thanks to an assist from Roberto Firmino. Everton’s Matthew Pennington equalised in the 28th minute, but Liverpool never looked back.
Just 11 minutes later, Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho put the Reds in the lead for good. Coutinho wasn’t done there as he set up Divock Origi for the third. It was Coutinho’s best Fantasy Premier League performance since gameweek 11 when he tallied double-digit points against Watford.
Liverpool are third now in the Premier League after gameweek 30’s Merseyside Derby win.
Arsenal 2-2 Manchester City
Manchester City were once again unable to defeat a Premier League top five rival as Arsenal came from behind to take a point from Pep Guardiola’s team.
Leroy Sane got Manchester City on the board first thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s league leading 11th assist this season. Arsenal would not go lightly into the night. Theo Walcott equalised in the 40th minute, but that lasted only two minutes. Sergio Aguero put Manchester City back in front ahead of the halftime break and a league double looked on the cards.
However, just eight minutes after the restart Arsenal were back on terms thanks to Shkodran Mustafi, and that is how the fixture would end.
FPL leading points man Alexis Sanchez only returned two points during gameweek 3o.
Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace
In the shock of gameweek 30, Chelsea lost to Crystal Palace at home 2-1. This game saw a three goal flurry in the opening 11 minutes as Cesc Fabregas opened the scoring in the fifth minute. However, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha struck in the ninth minute after a Christian Benteke assist.
Just two minutes later, Zaha turned provider as he set up Benteke. Zaha’s performance earned him 11 FPL points, while Benteke tallied 10. The win moves Palace four points away from the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Chelsea are just eight points ahead of Tottenham.
Burnley 0-2 Tottenham
Tottenham defeated Burnley 2-0 as Eric Dier and Son Hueng-Min got on the score sheet for Spurs. Dele Alli picked up the assist on Son’s goal, and tallied six FPL points in gameweek 30.
Burnley managed just two shots on target as Hugo Lloris recorded his 11th clean sheet of the Premier League season.
