According to news reports from both Egyptian and Italian media outlets, Roma’s Mohamed Salah’s proposed transfer to Liverpool is nearing completion.
Italy’s Corriere dello Sport reports that Liverpool will pay an initial €4o million with bonuses added on due to performance.
Roma president James Pallotta had denied the club would sell Salah to Liverpool. However, the Reds’ new transfer offer looks to have tempted the Italian club.
The Egyptian is said to be personally excited about the move due to his lack of playing time under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea from 2013 to 2015.
While Salah’s arrival looks increasingly likely, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants seven players to join the club this summer. Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe are the latest to be linked to the club.
