Fantasy Premier League gameweek 6 sees several big name players set to miss out on the festivities. Sadio Mane and Paul Pogba will miss the FPL gameweek, but that doesn’t mean your team will completely fall out of contention for your league’s title.
Several players can pick up the slack, but it may cost you a bit of cash to land them ahead of gameweek 6
Sergio Aguero
Sergio Aguero will cost you £11.6, but if you have the money to spend, then why not? Aguero has tallied 41 points this FPL season, which leads all players. Four of Manchester City’s next five Premier League fixtures have the potential to be massive scorelines in favour of Aguero’s City.
Kyle Naughton
Kyle Naughton is a cheap defensive option for managers strapped for cash. At only £4.5, Naughton has proved himself extremely valuable to FPL managers this season by notching 26 points. The Swansea defender has scored six or more points in three of his five matches this term. Swansea’s next four matches see the team play Watford, West Ham, Huddersfield and Leicester.
Mohamed Salah
Despite Liverpool’s troubles at the back and somewhat inconsistent play, Mohamed Salah remains one of the best attacking players in the Premier League. With 34 points this season, Salah has tallied 10 or more points in three matches. Liverpool take on Leicester next, but the Reds lost to the Foxes earlier this week. The team should bounce back, and Salah should star once more. Keep in mind, Mane will be missing, so Salah may be even more important in gameweek 6.
Lukasz Fabianski
Lukasz Fabianski has been FPL’s best goalkeeper to date. The Swansea shot stopper has tallied 29 points and the Swans have an excellent run of games upcoming. At only £4.5, Fabianski is a cheap option that could prove the difference later this season for your FPL side.
Jamaal Lascelles
Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelles is in great form. He has tallied six or more points in each of the last three gameweeks, and the defender costs just £4.6. Newcastle take on Brighton away before hosting Liverpool. Lascelles is a great option this week. He most likely won’t fare too well against Liverpool, but should return to his good form in the weeks that follow.
