Tottenham midfielder midfielder Erik Lamela is ready to return to the first team after nearly one year out injured, and the Argentine midfielder was spotted at Spurs’ training ground Thursday working on his fitness.
Lamela joined Tottenham in 2013 for a price of £30 million, but the Argentinian has continually struggled with injury since arriving in England. On Thursday, Lamela was spotted at Spurs’ training being put through his paces as he looks to get fit for the remainder of the season.
Since joining Spurs, Lamela has missed a total of 81 games, and that number will continue to grow as he won’t feature in this weekend’s match against West Ham. It has been speculated Lamela could return by the end of October, but that will depend on whether another injury setback occurs.

Lamela has played 121 times for Tottenham, scoring 19 goals and tallying 31 assists. It was thought Tottenham are willing to sell Lamela and recoup some of his transfer fee once he is fully fit. However, he could still have a role to play for the North London team.
Is Lamela still worth an opportunity at Spurs, or should Tottenham cut their losses as soon as possible?
