Liverpool are expecting to have injured midfielder Adam Lallana back for the team’s Premier League clash with Manchester United following the international break. The good news for Reds’ supporters is the Liverpool injury update for Sunday’s clash with Newcastle doesn’t see any new faces on the physio’s table.
Lallana was pictured at Liverpool’s Melwood training facility running as he recoups from his latest injury. The injury prone midfielder has not played for Liverpool this term, and has missed 11 matches already. Lallana has been nursing a hamstring injury, which also caused him to miss five games for Liverpool last season.

Adam Lallana injury record
Since arriving at Liverpool in the summer of 2014, Lallana has missed 40 games due to injuries. In seven different spells on the sidelines, Lallana has suffered some type of leg muscle injury.
Where will Adam Lallana play?
Liverpool’s current attacking form will give manager Jurgen Klopp headaches once Lallana returns fit. The team have been playing well in attack with Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane being the main playmakers. The England international’s return will give the team added depth from the bench.
Liverpool injury update
Nathaniel Clyne is still out with a hamstring injury. However, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez have shared right-back responsibilities while Clyne returns to fitness. Adam Bogdan is also nursing an injury, but should return after the international break from the knee problem that is keeping him out.
