Raheem Sterling has had a re-birth this season under Pep Guardiola. Of course, you’re saying, “that’s what everyone said this time last season and he stunk up the second half of the term.”
Sure, you may be right, but Sterling looks to have re-discovered the form he showed at Liverpool. While many Fantasy Premier League managers are going for Sterling’s teammates Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, you shouldn’t look past the nippy winger.
Raheem Sterling: Price
Sterling only costs £8.1. That is an incredibly low price for a player in such great fantasy form. The England international is third on Manchester City in points (50), just two behind Sergio Aguero. Last season, City’s key players were massive underachievers in FPL. This year, they understand Guardiola’s tactics, and it is paying off for fantasy managers. A price of £8.1 makes Sterling cheaper than City’s other major attackers.
Raheem Sterling: Slow start
Sure, Sterling started slowly. He played just 12 minutes in City’s opener. He featured for 45 minutes in City’s second match, but still scored six points. Sterling’s third match saw him clock 90 minutes, but fantasy managers lost out thanks to a red card he was given for celebrating the game winner. Since gameweek 5, Sterling is averaging 10 FPL points per game. Nice!
Raheem Sterling: He’s only going to get better
City can’t stop scoring and Sterling is benefiting from the form of his teammates. Although City play Arsenal on November 5th, the team have a number of winnable games before and after. These games could see the team continue their large scoreline wins. It’s a great time to select Sterling and see the points roll into your fantasy team.
