Manchester United face Arsenal at the weekend, and the Red Devils have three injury worries heading into the fixture at the Emirates. The Manchester United injury update sees several players like Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba fit. However, three others look to be ruled out.
Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick have been ruled out, but the biggest miss for the weekend fixture is that of defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic.
The Serbian isn’t expected to play after sustaining an injury in Manchester United’s 4-2 win over Watford on Tuesday night.
Speaking in his post match press conference, Jose Mourinho gave some news on the injury, although he only addressed the injury problem as “important”.
“For Nemanja Matic to tell me he wants to be replaced, he does not do that if it’s nothing important. It is muscular,” Mourinho said.
Fellaini sustained a knee injury during his international duty with Belgium. Both Fellaini and Matic could be big losses for the Red Devils.
Carrick, who is now 36-years old, has revealed he underwent surgery on his heart in September. That procedure has been the reason he hasn’t played in the last three months.
While Manchester United have injury worries, the team did get the news that Arsenal will be without star striker Alexandre Lacazatte on Saturday.
Is the Manchester United injury update significant enough to see the team lose against Arsenal?
