FPL : Could these three shock teams provide much needed points

Another weekend of Premier League football is almost upon us, and FPL leagues all over the country will be hotting up as teams battle for supremacy, whilst looking for much needed points over and above the likes of Salah, Kane, De Bruyne and all the other common players that most teams share.

Here, we take a look at those teams which could provide players that may be worth taking a punt on that could make all the difference for your FPL teams :

WATFORD (away at West Ham United)

Games involving the Hornets average over 3 goals per game across the season so far – and FPL managers who have plumped on the likes of Richarlison and Doucoure have been rewarded with points production only dreamed of for such bargain prices. Add Gerard Deulofeu into the mix (19 points in two games) and there is no reason at all to expect this production to decline. Saturday’s game at West Ham should be another attacking fest, and with follow up games to come against Everton and West Brom, we strongly recommend you get these Hornets buzzing around your FPL team quickly!!!

SWANSEA (home to Burnley)

Who says managerial changes don’t work? The sacking of Paul Clement and the introduction of Carlos Carvalhal has had the perfect effect at Swansea – unbeaten in four Premier League games, including wins over Liverpool and Arsenal, along with an 8-1 romp over Notts County in the FA Cup, mean the Swans are pumped full of confidence and looking upwardly mobile, after finally clambering out of the three dreaded relegation spots. A home game against miserly Burnley will now hold little fears for them, but with games against Brighton, West Ham, Huddersfield and Southampton upcoming, we could just be swayed into taking a Swan or two into FPL consideration. Tammy Abraham will be high on lists, but we like defender Alfie Mawson and midfielder Tom Carroll – both tremendous value and the high scorers in their position for the Welsh team. Keeper Lucasz Fabianski is worth a look also.

BOURNEMOUTH (away at Huddersfield)

Only Manchester United are in better form than the Cherries across the last five Premier League games – and indeed Bournemouth have only lost once in their last 8 games – and that to Manchester City. Bournemouth have averaged nearly two goals per game across those 8 games – and we like this scoring form to continue initially against the retreating Huddersfield – but then in upcoming games also against Newcastle and Leicester. Callum Wilson up front is an obvious selection here, but also don’t overlook defender Nathan Ake or attacking midfielder Jordan Ibe, who finally seems to be settling down in the red and black and has churned out 28 FPL points in his last five games.
