Nabil Fekir could be a Liverpool player by the beginning of the Premier League season. The player’s lingering problems from an ACL injury could ultimately prevent him from arriving at Anfield.

The France international is currently playing at the World Cup. In a press conference ahead of France’s second Group C match against Peru, Fekir spoke about his knee situation.
“It was great to see Jean-Michel Aulas yesterday at Istra (base camp) but we did not at all discuss my situation at Lyon,” Fekir said.
“You know I am here with France, I am happy, and I am not here to discuss my personal situation. We will see about all that later.
“My knee is super-good. We work a lot on it, we reinforce it. But I honestly feel like before my injury.”
Fekir experienced his best professional season at Lyon in 2017-18. The attacking midfielder scored 23 goals in 39 matches for the French club.
It is believed Fekir will continue playing his football at Lyon next term thanks to the lingering knee problem. The Reds are thought to be looking at other players now. There are rumours that Liverpool are seeking to sign Fekir to a contract with lower financial numbers than originally planned. If the rumours turn out to be true, the knee issues may be used to lower the financial amount.

Fekir is now being linked to other Premier League clubs. The player is keen to leave Lyon this summer and try his hand in the Premier League.
