Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and James Maddison re-born under Brendan Rodgers

New Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has breathed life into the club. Since taking over on February 26th, Leicester have won twice and lost once while scoring six goals. Not only are the Foxes re-born under the new manager, but their top players are suddenly back in-form. Jamie Vardy and James Maddison have regained form and could power Fantasy Premier League teams to big wins in gameweek 31.

Vardy goes in gameweek 31 having scored 16 FPL points against Fulham in his last match. The striker has averaged 10.3 points in the last three gameweeks.

The Foxes’ No. 9 has scored 12 goals while tallying four assists this term. Vardy costs just £9 million having tallied 122 FPL points. The striker has scored 32 percent of Leicester’s goals.

Since Rodgers took over at the King Power Stadium, Vardy has scored four goals and tallied one assist in three games. Vardy has turned his season around and can now power the Foxes higher up the Premier League table.

Maddison has tallied 103 points and goes into gameweek 31 costing £6.7m. The attacking midfielder has tallied five goals and six assists. But his consistency has been a problem this term.

Maddison hasn’t scored a goal since early December against Fulham. Despite lacking in goes in his last 14 games, Maddison has tallied four assists.

In Leicester’s last two wins, both under Rodgers, he has posted two assists.

Maddison and Vardy have combined for three goals this term. Maddison has provided the pass for Vardy to find the back of the net.

Leicester will visit Burnley on Saturday. Burnley are just two points above the relegation zone. Sean Dyche’s team has conceded the second most goals in the Premier League this term (57).

Seven of Vardy’s goals have come on Leicester’s travels. His goals have accounted for 37 percent of Leicester goals away from home.
