A win at Craven Cottage would send the Cityzens back to the top of the Premier League and a point above rivals Liverpool.

Liverpool do not play until Sunday afternoon against Tottenham. The Reds title fight fate could be sealed if they do not win at Anfield against Spurs.

Four players to return to Manchester City team

Manchester City are likely to welcome back John Stones, Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne, and Aymeric Laporte. All four Manchester City stars have been battling various injuries.

Stones and Fernandinho have been sidelined with groin issues while De Bruyne was out with a thigh problem.

It is not all good news for Guardiola, however. Centre-back Nicolas Otemendi suffered an ankle injury on international duty with Argentina. Fabian Delph endured an injury during the break as well. The central midfielder is struggling with a knee issue. Full-back Benjamin Mendy is also hurt.

Manchester City will assess the three stars prior to their departure to London.

Guardiola could rotate the squad coming off of an international break that saw several Manchester City stars appear for their national teams.

The Cityzens will play Cardiff City next Wednesday which gives Guardiola the chance to ease players back into the squad following injury.

Fulham vs. Manchester City – Recent results

Manchester City have played Fulham twice this season. The teams met at the Etihad in the Premier League and in the Carabao Cup. The Cityzens won both fixtures by a combined 5-0 scoreline.
