Hernandez scored eight points in 82 minutes of player in gameweek 2. The Mexican international scored in the 61st minute to give West Ham the lead at the time. Brighton scored four minutes later to give the Seagulls a share of the spoils.
The West Ham player goes into gameweek 3 at a price of £6.0 million. Despite his goal against Brighton, there was no increase in Hernandez’s transfer price ahead of the weekend.

Can Hernandez be the player West Ham paid for?
West Ham paid £16m for Hernandez in the summer of 2017 after he had two brilliant seasons at Bayer Leverkusen. The striker scored 17 and 11 goals, respectively, while playing in the Bundesliga.
Hernandez has failed to replicate his form in Germany with West Ham. Hernandez has scored eight and seven goals, respectively, in his two seasons since arriving in London.
The former Manchester United player hasn’t reached the expectations West Ham had for him. Nor have FPL manager felt content with Hernandez’s points totals.
Hernandez’s first season at West Ham saw him score a total of 93 points while last term was a step backwards with 86. Can the striker score more FPL points in 2019-20? He will need to stay far fitter than he has the last two seasons. Chicharito has missed 15 matches since arriving through injury.
The striker is in his final contract year at West Ham. At least the Major League Soccer clubs want to sign him but West Ham due have an option on the striker. Their decision on selling or retaining him will be made in January based on just how well Hernandez performs.
