Liverpool fans are outraged at the breaking news that Phillipe Coutinho is being sold to Barcelona, and have sent Twitter into meltdown, with some extremely passionate and forthright views expressed about the Darling of the Kop leaving Anfield for Spain.
Here are some examples of exactly how Liverpool fans feel :
If #LFC sell Coutinho the problem was never Rodgers, and it isn't Klopp. It's always been the owners and transfer committee.

If Coutinho leaves this summer, I'm not watching #LFC next season.

If @Phil_Coutinho goes @LFC is not a club anymore it's a business, letting an irreplaceable player go is just another step backwards :/

If @John_W_Henry sells Coutinho, he wont be the owner of @LFC much longer. Sign big names and dont let any of ours go!

If @LFC sell @Phil_Coutinho I might actually jump off a cliff, no joke like
— Mykel McCann (@MykelMcCann) July 25, 2017
@LFC must NOT allow Phillipe Coutinho to leave. That'll be making one step forward and 10 backwards.

Selling Coutinho to Barcelona for around £80 million could well represent good business in isolation – but Liverpool fans will clearly question the club’s desire and ability to return their beloved team to the top of the English football pyramid, with no league titles to their name in now fast approaching 30 seasons.
It would be an extremely brave decision and move to let this happen. It is the view of FantasySports.co.uk that Coutinho WILL be in a Liverpool shirt when they kick off their season opener against Watford. Hopefully, by then, Twitter will have cooled down some!
