Despite suffering a summer full of transfer ups and downs on the pitch, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has also been looking to develop his personnel off the pitch, and has pulled off a major coup by persuading top Polish scout Piotr Sadowski to join him at Old Trafford reports the Sun
Mourinho had already brought Italian giants Juventus chief scout Javier Ribalta to United, whom was responsible for recommending the likes of Pogba, Alves, Morata and Khadira which helped return Juve to dominance in Serie A.
Now Sadowski has joined from Lech Poznan in what is a huge addition to the United scouting corps – being mandated with the task of increasing the United coverage in the Central Eastern section of Europe.
Mourinho is keen to widen the scouting network for United, to help them find the future stars of the game in countries that do not have domestic leagues considered major with the European framework, with fees for players getting astronomical and, eventually, unsustainable.
It is a hugely astute move from Mourinho, who again shows that he seems dedicated and focused to the long term success and development of Manchester United, and that not all huge signings need to be on the pitch.
