Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has returned to full training. Mane featured in his first full training session on Thursday at Melwood since he injured his hamstring while playing with the Senegal national team.
Sadio Mane returns early
Liverpool had expected Mane to be out for six weeks. However, Jurgen Klopp is delighted to have Mane back after just two weeks out. Mane could feature in Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match against West Ham. Klopp may not risk Mane in the weekend’s match. If he doesn’t make the team for the trip to East London, Mane will be back for the team’s November 18th fixture against Southampton.
Mane has missed Liverpool’s last five matches. He missed three before that after being suspended for a straight red card against Manchester City in September.
Klopp was asked about Mane and Adam Lallana on Tuesday about their returns to the first team.
“Both are looking good,” Klopp said
“Sadio had a clearing session before he comes back to training and that was good as I understand. He now has a down day and on Thursday he should be in training.
“Adam will be part of team training during the international break.
“Both are in a good way but not good enough to involve them tomorrow or at the weekend.”
Liverpool defeated Maribor in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Reds lead group E, but need four more points from six to ensure they advance to the knockout round.
