Arsenal midfielder aims insult at Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has aimed an insult at Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez following the Gunners Carabao Cup semifinal win over Chelsea. At least his comments are being perceived that way.

The Arsenal midfielder claimed the Gunners now have players at the club that want to be there. Elneny took to Twitter to post his message as Arsenal booked their place in the cup final against Manchester City.

“Now there are players fighting every minute for the logo and fans,” Elneny’s tweet read.

Sanchez was alleged to have disrupted the Arsenal dressing room. It is believed that many of the players at the club were happy to see Sanchez leave when he agreed a deal with Manchester United.

Sanchez received few good well wishes when he left the Emirates. His former teammates lack of social media activity wishing him luck has led many to believe Sanchez was a cancer in the dressing room.

Former Arsenal player Thierry Henry highlighted that only a few teammates celebrated with Sanchez when he scored against Crystal Palace in December.

“I don’t know what the situation is there, but usually when your team scores you don’t look at who scores,” Henry said. “If you start to think ‘shall I go, shall I not go’ there’s something that we don’t know exactly what’s happening there.”

Arsenal midfielder Elneny has remained coy on the meaning of his original tweet. However, several websites have pointed out English is not his first language, and reading into his tweet could be a mistake.

Do you believe Arsenal are better off with out Alexis Sanchez?
