West Ham unveiled Felipe Anderson on Monday. Supporters of the club reacted to the news of Anderson’s arrival with excitement. The club has brought in eight new players this summer as it has invested in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad for the new season. A year ago, David Moyes just led the Hammers away from relegation and into 13th place. Now, the London side is planning to push for a European place under its new manager.

Anderson officially signed a four-year contract with West Ham. He will be joined by West Ham’s summer arrivals of Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Lukasz Fabianski, Fabian Balbuena, Sebastian Nebyla, Ryan Fredricks, and Issa Diop.
West Ham allowed seven players to leave the club this summer as well.
It is reported West Ham will pay Anderson a basic wage of £100,000-per-week. It is believed his contract has several incentives included that could see his weekly wage rise to £140,00-a-week based on performance.
Anderson’s basic wage puts him in line with the club’s top earners Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.
West Ham supporters have reacted with excitement over Anderson’s new contract.

I am delighted to confirm the Club record signing of Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson.
Felipe joins Manuel Pellegrini’s side on a four-year contract, having completed five hugely-successful seasons in Italy with Lazio. Good luck Felipe. dg pic.twitter.com/SYcLQr7bRQ— David Gold (@davidgold) July 15, 2018
Where are West Ham getting this money from?
£17.5m for Yarmolenko
£40m for Felipe Anderson
£22m for Diop
£25m bid for Lascelles— Adam Smith (@ASmithSJ) July 10, 2018
West Ham will be fascinating to watch this season with Wilshere supplying Yarmolenko on one flank & Felipe Anderson on the other, coached by Manuel Pellegrini… #whufc

Some non-Hammers fans have reacted a bit more negatively.
I'm sorry but £40 million is WAY too overpriced for Felipe Anderson.
This is why I'm content with #SaintsFC transfer policy – not throwing over the odds fees for players that are not worth the price.
But fair play to West Ham, they are making decent enough moves.

It can’t be ignored that Anderson’s goal scoring stats have declined since he scored 10 goals in 2014-15. He tallied seven a year later, and four in each of the last two seasons at Lazio.
Anderson played 21 times for Lazio last term, but 12 of those appearances were off the bench. He was substituted in three of his nine starts. Just six times did Anderson finish a full 90 minutes.
How will Felipe Anderson do at West Ham?
