West Ham claim manager Manuel Pellegrini’s job is safe, despite the Hammers’ awful start the Premier League season. The Hammers have lost all four matches to start the season, scoring just twice and allowing 10 goals.

West Ham spent heavily in the Premier League summer transfer window, spending £100 million. However, the team’s new signings have failed to make their mark on the team. Club record signing Felipe Anderson has recorded just one assist so far while Marko Arnautovic (signed in 2017) has scored both goals.
The Hammers players were booed off the pitch by supporters following their 1-0 stoppage-time loss to newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
According to the Mirror, West Ham are not ready to sack Pellegrini. The Hammers’ owners David Gold and David Sullivan were so eager to hire Pellegrini to take over the club, the duo wants him to continue in his job.
There is speculation that Pellegrini has lost the dressing room after four straight losses. He will now have the international break to get things in order.
After the loss, Pellegrini spoke about the team’s training and preparation for matches.
“On the training ground we are doing well, no lack of attitude,” Pellegrini claimed.
“But we have to take that work during the week into games, where there is that added pressure.
“It is just four games, we won’t stop fighting now. We are just starting and we will resolve that problem. I think everyone inside the club is calm.”
Pellegrini was interviewed by BBC’s Match of the Day following the team’s loss. He stated the Hammers’ recent trend is ‘worrying’.
“I don’t think it is a bad start, it is a very bad start,” Pellegrini said.
“We can’t lose six points here at home like we have. Playing away against Liverpool and Arsenal, if you don’t play so well is understandable. Here at home to lose we must be very worried.”
Prior to being hired as West Ham manager, Pellegrini was in charge of Chinese Super League team Hebei China Fortune from August 2016 to May 2018. Hebei China Fortune’s best finish under Pellegrini was fourth.
The West Ham manager has now been in charge of 117 Premier League matches as coach of both Manchester City and West Ham. He averages 1.97 points per game currently.

Sorry but I don't buy that. Pellegrini claims that we're training well and looking good on the training ground. Then why were we 2nd to every damn ball/every single challenge today whilst looking slow and laboured throughout the game. These players aren't fit – bottom line.

Positives from today: though Issa Diop has a good game, Yarmolenko made a difference when he came on at the half.
Negatives: Wilshere is still off the pace, midfield in general is really struggling.
