Liverpool are after Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez and could play £52 million for the Colombian, according to Spanish media. Rodriguez has fallen out of favour at Real Madrid and the club are willing to part with him.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon has reported that Liverpool are working on a possible deal to bring the No. 10 to Anfield. Liverpool had been working on a deal for Roma’s Mohamed Salah, but that deal looks to have fallen through for the time being. Several clubs have been linked with the Colombian Rodriguez, but Madrid president Florentino Perez is currently unwilling to lower his £52m asking price.
Rodriguez arrived at Real Madrid from Monaco for £63.75m after impressing at the 2014 World Cup. In 2016-17, Rodriguez played a mere 22 times for Madrid in La Liga.
