Manchester United defeated Manchester City, 2-0, in the first Manchester Derby on foreign soil. The two Premier League titans clashed in Houston, Texas during their United States International Champions Cup preseason tour.
Romelu Lukaku was on target again for Manchester United before Marcus Rashford wrapped up the scoring for the Red Devils. Lukaku scored for the second time since signing with Manchester United, having first collected a goal against Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake on Monday night.
While Red Devils’ fans got to see the club’s big summer transfer signing in the Manchester Derby played in Houston; Manchester City supporters caught a glimpse of goalkeeper Ederson and new full-back Kyle Walker.
Following their International Champions Cup match, Manchester United supporters and football pundits took to Twitter to express their excitement over the victory.
Goals from Lukaku & Rashford have given @ManUtd a 2 goal lead over @ManCity. Lukaku & Rashford could prove to be one hell of a combination.

How I'm sleeping knowing that City fans paid for MUTV to laugh at Lukaku's first touch but he actually made Ederson look like a peak Bravo. pic.twitter.com/VUGAA5NckZ

While Lukaku got praise for his fantastic goal, some have been highly critical of another Pep Guardiola goalkeeper signing. However, plenty of Manchester City supporters have stuck up for their new goalkeeper.
The people calling Ederson the Brazilian Bravo after a preseason friendly are the same people who judge players based on fifa ratings.

Re my earlier Ederson comment. He's not in the same league as Romero, #MUFC's number two.
