Manchester United are tracking Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon and could make a move for the 17-year-old sensation if Fulham relaxes their stance on the player before the transfer window closes. However, Fulham are interested in hanging on to the defender unless they receive a transfer bid in the region of £25-£30 million.
According to reports from Sky Sports, Manchester United are currently showing “significant interest” in the player, and may make a bid for his services before the transfer window closes on August 31st.
Sessegnon has played four times for Fulham thus far in the Championship in 2017-18 and has featured as both a left-back and left sided midfielder; although left-back is his best position. Sessegnon is valued at just under £3m, and is under contract with Fulham until 2020.
Tottenham have also shown interest in the England under-19 international. Spurs have been linked with the teen defender for nearly one year. However, it is believed Fulham are not interested in selling Sessegnon, who has played in all the club’s league matches this term. Although the right price could change that.
Sky Sports has reported Manchester United would be willing to let Sessegnon continue to develop at Fulham on loan if the teams can work out a deal for him this summer. Reports indicate that despite his £3m valuation, Fulham want more than £25m for the youngster.
Jose Mourinho is continuing to look at transfer targets to strengthen his Manchester United side as the summer window nears its end.
