5 Fantasy Premier League players to watch in gameweek 16

Mohamed Salah has proven he is the top player in Fantasy Premier League so far this season. The Liverpool winger has accumulated 113 points this term. While Salah may be killing it and be in plenty of FPL manager’s sides, gameweek 16 means gaffers may need to find some bargains for their team. They may also need to survey the fixture list before drafting in their starting XI. So, which Fantasy Premier League players should you be watching out for in gameweek 16?

5 Fantasy Premier League Players to watch

Riyad Mahrez – Leceister

As speculation grows over whether Riyad Mahrez will stay or go in January, the midfielder continues to play well for Leicester. Mahrez leads the team with 75 points and costs just £8.4, currently. The Foxes take on Newcastle at the weekend. The Magpies have lost five of six, and Mahrez’s should be able to pick apart Newcastle’s defence. Newcastle’s defence has given up the seventh most goals in the Premier League this term.

Cesar Azpilicueta – Chelsea

Last season, Cesar Azpilicueta was one of the FPL players of the year. Once again, he is putting up points. The defender has scored 78 points this term, and Chelsea face off against terminally bad West Ham on Saturday. West Ham have given up the most goals this term (32), and there is a good chance Azpilicueta could tally an assist in the fixture.

Richarlison – Watford

Richarlison has been one of the buys of the Premier League season. The forward has tallied 75 points in FPL. He has seen a dip in his FPL form in recent weeks, but against Burnley, Richarlison could get back to his best. He only scored three points in the last two matches, but that was against Manchester United and Tottenham. Managers should expect Richarlison to get back to his best this week.

Pascal Gross – Brighton

Pascal Gross has been a revelation in FPL. The Brighton midfielder has tallied 78 points and is a real bargain at £6.0. Brighton got hammered against Liverpool last weekend, 5-1, and Gross didn’t play well. But against Huddersfield this weekend, Gross should get back to creating goals for Brighton.

Mamadou Sakho – Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace haven’t lost in four straight games and in their last two, the Eagles have posted clean sheets. Mamadou Sakho has been at the heart of the team’s stellar rearguard. In his last three games, Sakho has posted 11, nine and eight point returns. Bournemouth and Watford are up next and Sakho is a bargain at £4.9. He is a great option in defence right now.
