Arsenal star Sead Kolasinac has been ruled out for nearly three months after suffering an injury. The 25-year-old suffered a knee injury in Arsenal’s preseason match against Chelsea. The Arsenal star defender clashed with Chelsea’s Victor Moses during the clubs’ International Champions Cup match in Ireland.

Kolasinac was a shining light in Arsene Wenger’s final year as Gunners’ manager. The former Schalke player was signed on a free transfer in 2017. He went on to make 27 Premier League appearances scoring two goals and completing four assists.
The full-back had a knee scan following the preseason match and the damage will be enough to keep him out for around three months.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made defence his first priority. The Gunners allowed 51 goals a season ago, the most of any team in the top seven.
Arsenal have an unenviable fixture list to start the season with Manchester City, Chelsea, and West Ham being the club’s first three opponents. The Gunners’ defence will be put to the test early this season.
It is expected that Kolasinac could miss around eight matches. Not only will Kolasinac miss Premier League fixtures, but he will be out of Arsenal’s lineup for at least two Europa League group matches and a third-round Carabao Cup fixture.
