Everton have waited for star forward Richarlison to find his form for some weeks and it looks like he has rediscovered it. The Brazilian started the Premier League campaign well, but after a gameweek 3 red card against Bournemouth, he didn’t play well following his suspension. Gameweek 11’s 15 point output once again shows just how dangerous he can be.
Richarlison scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season against Brighton on Saturday. He has now scored more goals this term than in all of last season. Richarlison plays well under Marco Silva as the manager gets the best out of the star forward.
So far, the Brazilian’s assist numbers are down. He has tallied just one compared to eight in 2017-18. His assist numbers are down because he doesn’t have to be the creative No. 10 in the midfield.
Gylfi Sigurðsson is Everton’s creative hub and Richarlison’s job is to put the ball in the back of the net. During his season at Watford, Richarlison was needed to score and create. At Goodison Park, he only needs to find the back of the net and that is why he is thriving once more.
Fantasy Premier League managers can buy Richarlison for just £6.8 million. It is a good price, but Everton will be put to the test in gameweek 12 when they visit Chelsea.
Richarlison fought through injury in Everton’s win over Brighton. Everton are not the same team without Richarlison in the lineup. The club needs him fit and with the forward in the starting XI, have the best chance to finish in the top six.
According to the Liverpool ECHO, Richarlison averages, nearly three times a game. Only Wilfried Zaha and Eden Hazard are being cut down more often.
Everton’s upcoming fixtures aren’t too kind despite Richarlison being in-form. Chelsea, Cardiff, and Liverpool follow in the next three gameweeks. It will ease up with Newcastle and Watford, but then Manchester City will face Everton in gameweek 17.
Richarlison is in-form and his 56 FPL points make him a solid selection for gameweek 12.
