Forget Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane is Liverpool’s most in-form attacker

Liverpool will host Bournemouth on Saturday in a must-win game. The Reds are in second place on goal difference following Manchester City’s win over Everton on Wednesday night. Jurgen Klopp’s team is in desperate need of a win to keep pace and to end their two-match unbeaten run.

One player Fantasy Premier League managers should have in their teams is Liverpool forward Sadio Mane. The Senegalese forward is in fine form for the Reds and is the perfect addition to any team.

Sadio Mane: Liverpool’s most in-form attacker

Mane averaged eight FPL points per game in his last three matches. Compared to teammate Mohamed Salah, who leads Liverpool in FPL points, averaged 6.3 points in his last three games.

Salah has been in very poor form in Liverpool’s last two fixtures especially. The Egyptian scored just two points against Leicester and West Ham, respectively.

Mane costs £9.5 million in FPL having totalled 132 points.

Although Mane scored just one point against Bournemouth in their last meeting, he did only play 25 minutes against the Cherries after returning from injury

Saturday’s match at Anfield is set to be a big game for the forward.

Claims are being made that Liverpool are blowing their chance at the Premier League title. Saturday’s game is an opportunity for the team’s big 3 to step up and lead the side to a big win.

Of course, if Liverpool win at the weekend and Manchester City lose, the talk of the Reds blowing the title race will end just as quickly as it began.

Mane has tallied 11 goals this term, two more than Roberto Firmino and five fewer than Salah. Mane’s biggest drawback this season has been his lack of assists. the forward has created just two goals.

Last term, Mane contributed seven assists as Liverpool finished fourth.

The Reds need their big 3 to step up on Saturday and with Mane’s form, FPL managers can expect the Liverpool No. 10 to score points.
