The Manchester United duo of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are frustrated over their lack of playing time under Jose Mourinho. The Manchester United duo could leave Old Trafford in the summer if their situation doesn’t improve.
Rashford has completed 90 minutes just seven times this season. Although the youngster has scored the fourth most goals for Manchester United, Mourinho has left him on the bench to start most matches. Rashford has appeared in 29 games, but 15 of those matches have seen Rashford come on as a substitute. The England international has added five assists to go with his six goals.
Just like Rashford, Martial has found his playing time limited this term under Mourinho. The Frenchman is second in the goal scoring column for the Red Devils with nine goals. Martial has also added five assists. However, Martial is expected to lead the way for players heading for the Old Trafford exit. Reports from the Independent indicate Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are all ready to splash the cash for the talented winger.
The Manchester United duo have found playing time hard to come by due to the January addition of Alexis Sanchez. Although Sanchez has scored just two goals and tallied three assists, the youngsters have been pushed to the side for the Chilean to have playing time.
A source speaking to the Mirror stated Rashford in particular is extremely unhappy at Old Trafford.
“Marcus was really unhappy with being left out for the derby,” the Mirror Football reported via the source.“If Mourinho is still there next season, Marcus might not be, as he wants to start every game.”
While Martial could move to a number of teams abroad, or Tottenham who have been long-term admirers, the options for Rashford may be limited. The Mirror reports Arsenal are odds-on favourite to add the Englishman to their ranks.
