Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son is in tremendous form after gameweek 16. The Spurs forward tallied 14 Fantasy Premier League points in just 73 minutes of action on Saturday. Tottenham defeated Leicester City 2-0 with the Foxes being outplayed.
Heung-Min Son:51 FPL points after gameweek 16
Son tallied both a goal and an assist in Tottenham’s win at the King Power Stadium. The Korean forward tallied four shots, 48 touches, and a pass success rate of 81 percent. Son’s contributions were outstanding and once again showed just how important he is to Tottenham.
Unbelievably, manager Mauricio Pochettino has only played Son a full 90 minutes once this season. That 90-minute performance came in gameweek 15 against Southampton. Son scored eight points scoring one goal and adding an assist. The Korean has scored three goals and registered two assists in 11 matches.

Son has played a total of 649 Premier League minutes. He has contributed to a Tottenham goal every 129.8 minutes. The in-form forward has a scored a goal in each of his last two Premier League games. Costing just £8.4 million, Son is still reasonably priced in FPL.
Following Tottenham’s win over Leicester, Pochettino spoke about being disappointed with Son due to his absence early in the season. The forward was away on international duty post-World Cup.
Son cost Tottenham £27 million from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, according to Transfermarkt. In 157 career Tottenham games, Son has contributed to a whopping 80 goals.

Tottenham’s upcoming run of fixtures is promising for FPL managers. Heung-Min Son will have a number of vulnerable defences to take advantage of. The only question is over Pochettino’s use of the forward. In Son’s last four matches, he played 77, 78, 90, and 73 minutes. Yet, he had his most consistent points totals. He is averaging 8.75 FPL points in his last four gameweeks.
Son may not reach his 178 FPL points from last season, but that will mostly be due to his absence from Tottenham’s squad at the season’s start.
