It has been confirmed that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will play no part in the final month of the Gunners’ season.
Ramsey suffered a hamstring injury against Napoli in Arsenal’s Europa League quarterfinal second leg. He will now miss the Gunners’ two remaining games in the Premier League along with potentially three Europa League matches.
The Welshman has become a fixture at the Emirates for over a decade but will leave London for Italy in the summer having signed for Juventus on a free transfer.
Ramsey has solidified himself as an Arsenal club legend and these 5 moments showcase just how important he has been since arriving.
1. 2014 FA Cup Final
Arsenal trailed Hull City 2-0 in the 2014 FA Cup Final after eight minutes. The Gunners clawed their way back into the fixture through Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielny to force extra-time.
The 30-minute overtime was all Aaron Ramsey as the midfielder fired home the winner from the edge of the penalty area to earn the man of the match award.
2. 2017 FA Cup Final
Aaron Ramsey twice scored Arsenal’s winning goal in the FA Cup Final and those are two reasons as to why he is a club legend. Arsenal took an early lead only for Chelsea to equalise 14 minutes before full-time.
Three minutes later, Olivier Giroud crossed the ball to Ramsey as Arsenal went into attack mode. Ramsey headed Giroud’s cross home giving the midfielder his third FA Cup trophy.
3. First ever hat-trick
Arsenal throttled Everton 5-1 in February 2018 with Ramsey scoring three times. It was the midfielder’s first and only hat-trick in an Arsenal shirt.
4. Half-volley heaven
Ramsey may have scored the greatest half-volley in the history of football. He did the deed against Galatasaray in 2014-15 from well outside the penalty area.

Although the goal didn’t land Arsenal silverware or a league title, it will long be remembered as one of the best Arsenal goals of the 21st century.
5. 2008 Arsenal debut
Aaron Ramsey could have easily signed with Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United but chose Arsenal due to Arsene Wenger. It was Wenger’s confidence in Ramsey that helped him grow into the superb player he is today.
When he made his Premier League debut in September 2008, there was certainly something special about Ramsey. The Welshman provided an assist for Arsenal’s fourth goal as they downed Blackburn Rovers, 4-0, at Ewood Park.
