Gameweek 18 forwards for FPL

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Gameweek 18 forwards for Fantasy Premier League won’t see Chelsea’s Diego Costa make our list this week. The Spaniard is suspended until December 31st.

So many fantasy teams have been put into a tailspin thanks to his suspension, but that doesn’t mean your FPL team won’t secure points from its gameweek 18 forwards.

There are plenty more gameweek 18 forwards injured, suspended or in poor form, so be careful when selecting this week.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Manchester United

Games: 16; Goals: 11; Total FPL points: 95

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back with a vengeance. The Swede is on fire in FPL, single-handedly leading Manchester United.

The forward has 11 of United’s 24 goals this term (46% of all goals). Only Sunderland’s Jermaine Defoe has returned a higher percent (50%).

Ibrahimovic has tallied 11.5 points in his last two FPL gameweeks. His next three fixtures are very kind: Sunderland, Middlesbrough and West Ham.

He is the best of the gameweek 18 forwards up for grabs.

Alvaro Negredo – Middlesbrough

Games: 16; Goals: 5; Total FPL points: 68

Based on form, Alvaro Negredo is a perfect gameweek 18 forwards pick.

Last week FantasySports.co.uk suggested Salomon Rondon based on form. Unfortunately, he let us down. Hopefully, Negredo won’t do the same.

Five of Middlesbrough’s next six fixtures are very kind. Burnley is up next followed by a difficult away trip to Old Trafford, then it eases up again.

The Spaniard is at least worth a go this week. A poor result means you should bin him off in gameweek 19. Remember, FPL form is vital to selection.

Divock Origi – Liverpool

Games: 14; Goals: 4; Total FPL points: 44

Liverpool’s Divock Origi returns to our list this week following a two point performance against Everton.

Why does he get in the gameweek 18 forwards list? It is down to his form in the four previous games to the Merseyside derby.

Four goals in four matches makes him a prime candidate for a big weekend against Stoke.

Despite their improvements, Stoke haven’t won in their last three. Origi could run wild on Stoke’s defence.

Romelu Lukaku – Everton

Games: 16; Goals: 9; Total FPL points: 89

Romelu Lukaku returns to the top five this week after two consecutive two point gameweeks. Everton have not been very good in recent weeks and have only won once in their last six.

Lukaku has only scored twice in his last seven games, but it is only a matter of time until he re-discovers his form.

Everton’s fixture list is kind in the next few weeks. The Toffees face Leicester, Hull and Southampton in the next three matches.

Harry Kane – Tottenham

Games: 12; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 66

Harry Kane is out of form, but we contest that FPL managers should sit on the Tottenham striker. It is just a matter of time until he scores big.

Unfortunately, the forward’s returns this season have been very inconsistent, therefore any FPL manager is forgiven for dropping Kane as a gameweek 18 forward.

We still think he can hit big numbers, especially with Southampton and Watford next.
