Gameweek 22 midfield playmakers

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Philippe Coutinho and Dele Alli lead the way in gameweek 22 midfield transfers. The two are the most transferred in midfielders headed into the weekend.

Coutinho is back to fitness and though he tallied one FPL point last weekend, managers want him for their gameweek 22 midfield.

Alli is in some of the best form of any English Premier League player and is averaging 11.8 points per gameweek currently. Get him into your gameweek 22 midfield as he gets into ours.

Who joins him? Does Coutinho? Let’s see!

Dele Alli – Tottenham

Games: 20; Goals: 10; Total FPL points: 121

Alli is flying high and he has soared to the top four in fantasy midfielders over the last month. Spurs have Manchester City up next, a team they dismissed 2-0 earlier this term.

Alli scored eight points the last time these two sides met, scoring one of Spurs’ goals. He is in-form and his recent play warrants his gameweek 22 midfield selection.

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

Games: 21; Goals: 14; Total FPL points: 154

Of course, Alexis Sanchez gets into our gameweek 22 midfield. The Chilean leads the league in goals and he continues to top the FPL points list.

Sanchez should dominate Burnley’s defence in gameweek 22 and follow it up with another stellar performance against Watford eight days later.

Both games are at the Emirates, so Sanchez will have his home supporter behind him.

Michail Antonio – West Ham

Games: 20; Goals: 8; Total FPL points: 104

Michail Antonio has made our midfield top 5 a few times this season, but much of the time he has been on the periphery.

How can we not add him to our gameweek 22 midfield when he scored 15 points last weekend against Crystal Palace?

It is really his consistency that has kept him out of our side for much of the season. If he has a great week, fantasy managers are greatly rewarded. If he is off and West Ham are too, managers curse his selection.

After last weekend’s three assist performance, we think Michail could be the man this week as the Hammers travel to Middlesbrough in gameweek 22.

Eden Hazard – Chelsea

Games: 20; Goals: 9; Total FPL points: 126

Eden Hazard has tailed off just a bit, yet it is the potential in gameweek 22 that makes him one of our top 5.

Chelsea play Hull at home, and Hazard could have a monster day at Stamford Bridge. Sure, the midfielder only tallied three points when these two sides last met, but Hazard went on a four match tear afterwards.

Chelsea have Liverpool away and Arsenal at home following Hull’s visit. If he has a similar three point performance in gameweek 22, get him out of your team.

Christian Eriksen – Tottenham

Games: 20; Goals: 5; Total FPL points: 121

Last weekend’s two assist performance saw Christian Eriksen collect 10 FPL points.

Perhaps it is asking too much of he and Alli to perform well against City this weekend, so you may consider only drafting in one of the two. Especially with Harry Kane in good form as well.

Eriksen only tallied three points last time out against City, so selecting Alli over him may be the wise thing to do for gameweek 22.

Regardless, Spurs players are in demand for gameweek 22.
