Friday night, Arsenal versus Leicester kicked off the new English Premier League season with a dramatic 4-3 goal fest. The Gunners led early through new signing Alexandre Lacazette, but soon found themselves trailing for much of the match.
Arsenal dramatically scored two late goals thanks to Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud as the club got off to a great start.
American commentator Kyle Martino, during NBC Sports broadcast of the match , was accurate in his assessment of Arsenal’s performance. He called Arsenal versus Leicester a microcosm of the Gunners’ typical Premier League seasons: a strong start, a dip in the middle and a brilliant finish.
Arsenal looked very strong at times and without Champions League football, could finally win a Premier League title for the first time in more than a decade.
With the first Premier League match in the books this term, how did pundits, supporters and players react on Twitter to Arsenal versus Leicester?
