Premier League goals and 5 strikers to get them

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Gameweek 7 will usher in the next international break, but before that, the English Premier League has some incredibly in form attackers to select from for your fantasy side.

Some of the Premier League’s big names are back for this week’s FantasySports.co.uk top 5 attackers list. Does your favourite attacker make the list? Let’s see.

Sergio Aguero – Manchester City

Games: 4; Goals: 5

Sergio Aguero returned from his three match ban with a bang last week as he scored twice against Swansea. In all competitions, Aguero has scored two or more goals in four different matches.

When he has been in the team this season, Aguero has benefited from Pep Guardiola’s tactics and the creative play of Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Nolito.

The only problem this week is, Manchester City travel to White Hart Lane to play Tottenham. Spurs have given up the fewest goals in the Premier League this season (three).

Aguero is expensive when it comes to Fantasy Premier League, and coupled with a match against Spurs, it is advisable to look elsewhere for gameweek 7.

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

Games: 6; Goals: 4; Assists: 2

Alexis Sanchez is playing great football at the minute. Last weekend, he was the catalyst to Arsenal’s massive 3-0 win against Chelsea.

He is one of, if not, the most in form players in the Premier League and should be in your Fantasy Premier League team this week.

Sanchez has tallied a goal or an assist in five of Arsenal’s last six matches in all competitions. He deserves a spot in your fantasy team.

Jermaine Defoe – Sunderland

Games: 6; Goals: 4

Despite playing for a team mired in the relegation zone, Sunderland’s Jermaine Defoe is a perfect pick for fantasy football in gameweek 7.

Defoe has four goals in six games this season, that has accounted for 80% of the team’s scoring. The Black Cats host a mediocre West Brom in gameweek 7, which makes Defoe good value to continue his scoring.

Diego Costa – Chelsea

Games: 6; Goals: 5; Assists 1

Sure, Chelsea haven’t won in their last three, but Diego Costa is still their bright spot. Until Chelsea’s win against Leicester in the League Cup and the team’s loss to Arsenal in gameweek 6, Costa had scored or assisted a goal in each match this season.

Based on how he has played up to now, Costa is a brilliant choice for Fantasy Premier League gameweek 7. Chelsea play Hull, who have conceded nine goals in two matches. Pick him for your fantasy side.

Theo Walcott – Arsenal

Games: 6; Goals: 3; Assists: 1

Who is that talented young man wearing the No. 14 shirt for Arsenal? Theo Walcott has been brilliant for the Gunners in their opening six matches and was great against Chelsea a week ago.

Not only is he playing well in the Premier League, he scored twice in Champions League play in midweek.

He is in form and Arsenal should have no problems beating Burnley this weekend.

Bonus attacker

Marcus Rashford – Manchester United

Games: 4; Goals: 3

Looking for value? Look no further than Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. The youngster has been good in front of goal thus far, scoring three times in four matches.

Rashford has only started twice this season and played the full 90 minutes just once. Yet, he is scoring goals for a United team that has been better in front of goal this season.

The Red Devils host Stoke City, the league’s second bottom team. Stoke have given up the second most goals this term. Rashford has a great opportunity to get either a goal or an assist.

However, he may not start – or go all 90 minutes – coming off of United’s Europa League fixture on Thursday night.
