5 forwards to complete your Premier League fantasy team

5 Fantasy forwards for gameweek 10

Despite Chelsea’s emphatic 4-0 win over Manchester United in gameweek 9, top points scorer Diego Costa only picked up two. It was his fewest points collected since gameweek 6.

With Southampton up next, Costa still gets in the FantasySports.co.uk top 5 forwards list for gameweek 10. Can he overcome last week’s low points total?

There is plenty more quality in our choices this week to obtain your fantasy team valuable points, so let’s see who we’ve selected.

Romelu Lukaku – Everton

Games: 8; Goals: 6; Assists: 2; Total FPL points: 55

While Costa finished with two points last weekend, Romelu Lukaku finished with five. Sure, that isn’t a massive number, but this week the Everton forward is up against West Ham, and get points from forwards isn’t as lucrative as obtaining them from midfielders.-

Despite the Hammers’ recent surge, Lukaku should bounce back big against the London side. Everton have Chelsea to play in gameweek 11, so this may very well be the best chance to get Lukaku into your Fantasy Premier League team to help your squad.

Diego Costa – Chelsea

Games: 9; Goals: 7; Clean sheets: 4; Total FPL points: 57

Costa will rebound from last week’s low points total. He has been a battering ram for the most part this term. The Spaniard is one goal ahead of Lukaku in the race for the golden boot.

Chelsea’s next three Premier league games are very winnable: Southampton, Everton and Middlesbrough. With his potential to score points, he deserves a place in your fantasy team.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Manchester United

Games: 9; Goals: 4; Assists: 1; Total FPL points: 40

Despite not playing well in recent weeks, partly down to the team around him and a lack of support, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has still tallied 40 points in this season Fantasy Premier League.

One of the main reasons for Ibrahimovic’s inclusion in our top 5 forwards list this week is due to United facing Burnley in gameweek 10. If the big Swede is to get it together, it has to against Burnley, a team with a fraction of the money put into the squad as United.

If he comes good, we will look like geniuses. Another bad week and it may be the last time Ibrahimovic makes our top 5.

Kelechi Iheanacho – Manchester City

Games: 7; Goals: 3; Assist: 3; Total FPL points: 35

The problem with Kelechi Iheanacho is the Manchester City forward is a massive gamble for your Fantasy Premier League team. Iheanacho has only played a full 90 minutes one time this season. Despite that stat, Iheanacho still outscored teammate Sergio Aguero in gameweek 9 eight to one.

City are coming off a midweek loss to Manchester United in the League Cup. The team need a serious injection of life as they have not won in their last six matches in all competitions.

Iheanacho is well worth the punt at £6.8 million. Pep Guardiola may just stick the young Nigerian in the side this weekend against West Brom.

Also, fantasy managers be aware, City have an easy run of fixtures upcoming.

Callum Wilson – Bournemouth

Games: 9; Goals: 3; Clean sheets: 5; Total FPL points: 34

Callum Wilson had a drop off last week against Tottenham after posting back-to-back weeks with at least eight points.

Bournemouth’s next three fixtures see the Cherries take on Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Stoke, all very winnable games. Wilson could reach that eight point mark in each match. He will cost you £6.5m currently. A decent amount.

Bonus forward

Troy Deeney – Watford

Games: 9; Goals: 3; Total FPL points: 34

Troy Deeney will cost your fantasy team slightly more than Wilson at £7.1m, so go for Wilson first. However, if you are thinking about Deeney, consider this weekend’s fixture against Hull.

The Tigers have given up the most goals this term (22), and have lost four straight. Deeney could have a big weekend.
