Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads FPL forwards into Gameweek 22

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Zlatan Ibrahimovic tops the points list for all Fantasy Premier League forwards. The Swede is in electric form and has scored six goals in his last six Premier League matches.

His rise coincides with Diego Costa’s fall. The Chelsea man is injured and missed out on the Blues’ recent 3-0 win at Leicester.

Who joins Ibrahimovic in our gameweek 22 team?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Manchester United

Games: 20; Goals: 14; Total FPL points: 130

The juggernaut that is Ibrahimovic continues on as the Swede is, without a doubt, Manchester United’s top player.

Ibrahimovic’s next four fixtures should see the forward return points. Stoke, Hull, Leicester and Watford are all to come before the Manchester derby.

Get the forward, keep him and love the points he scores you.

Jermain Defoe – Sunderland

Games: 21; Goals: 12; Total FPL points: 119

Not as flamboyant as Ibrahimovic, but extremely steady, Jermain Defoe continues to be one of FPL’s top forwards.

Sunderland are incredibly reliant on the forward, and without him the team would be sunk.

Keep Defoe in the side as he is reliable and even with Spurs and Manchester City on the horizon, he is capable of scoring goals.

Harry Kane – Tottenham

Games: 13; Goals: 11; Total FPL points: 105

Harry Kane is in excellent form and it may be a toss up on who to buy, Kane or Ibrahimovic? Kane’s 17 point total in gameweek 21 was his best yet.

It was also the second time in three games he had hit 16 or more points. The only problem this weekend is Tottenham play Manchester City.

The good news is Spurs’ form is excellent, while Manchester City’s isn’t. If you have got the money, grab Kane as he will set you back £11.1 million for gameweek 22.

Peter Crouch – Stoke

Games: 12; Goals: 3; Total FPL points: 39

We are always looking for an in-form bargain here at FantasySports.co.uk, and that is why we think Peter Crouch could be a steal for gameweek 22.

Admittedly, we were under the impression Crouch retired from football, but it seems we were wrong.

The Englishman has three goals in three matches and is averaging nine points in each of his last three games. Sure, Stoke have Manchester United next, but Crouch could be good off the bench.

You could buy him now and have him ready for Stoke’s gameweek 23 game against Everton or the following game against West Brom.

Divock Origi – Liverpool

Games: 18; Goals: 4; Total FPL points: 53

Based on potential for gameweek 22, we love Divock Origi. Daniel

Sturridge is struggling massively and Origi has the opportunity to have another big game for Liverpool. His performance will depend on whether or not he starts as the forward is typically better when beginning games.

Liverpool play Swansea at home in gameweek 22. The Swans are dead last and have the worst defence. Origi could have a big return for those brave enough to select him.
