Manchester City are coming off of a shock Champions League exit after giving up a 5-3 aggregate lead to Monaco in midweek. The walking wounded under Pep Guardiola’s stewardship are having a difficult time with consistency, and hope to get back to winning ways on Sunday afternoon in the English Premier League gameweek 29.

Manchester City haven’t won against the other top four members this season and the team lost 1-0 against Liverpool in December. Liverpool have won the last four English Premier League matches between the two sides, and a win would see the Reds leapfrog City in the standings.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have several injury worries ahead of the English Premier League gameweek 29 clash. According to ThisIsAnfield, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino have not trained this week. Neither Jordan Henderson nor Daniel Sturridge will play a part this weekend, and both have been confirmed as out of the action.

Manchester City will have their big names healthy, although Fantasy Premier League upstart Gabriel Jesus continues to miss through injury. Manchester City’s defence has kept a clean sheet in its last three Premier League matches. Those matches did come against Bournemouth, Sunderland and Stoke.

Tottenham vs. Southampton

Tottenham look to continue their push for a second place finish as they host Southampton. Spurs are without Harry Kane after the English star picked up an injury in the team’s FA Cup win against Millwall last weekend. Without Kane, expect Heung-Min Son to step up and perform big this weekend.

Spurs have won four of their last six against Southampton in the Premier League, but Saints have performed well in the league of late. Manolo Gabbiadini is a great selection for any FPL or daily fantasy sports manager as the Saints’ forward has tallied four goals in three matches.

West Brom vs. Arsenal

Arsenal travel to West Brom as the team sit five points behind Liverpool for the final Champions League spot in the English Premier League. The Gunners have been solid against West Brom in the teams’ last six games, winning five of those matches. Arsenal have seen the goals pour in against the Baggies, outscoring West Brom 10 to three.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will undergo a late fitness test ahead of the English Premier League gameweek 29 match.

Middlesbrough vs. Manchester United

Manchester United look to do the double over Middlesbrough on Sunday after going through to the next round of the Europa League in midweek.

Middlesbrough parted ways with manager Aitor Karanka in midweek. Steve Agnew has stepped in to take control of the club, although Harry Redknapp could be lined up to takeover the team.

Agnew’s side is fighting for Premier League survival and United’s suspension and injury problems could really help them. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera all miss out due to suspension. Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is set to miss the fixture due to injury.
