Manchester United parade to honour the fallen

Former Manchester United player Phil Neville has suggested that the Europa League winners should have a parade to celebrate their success in Stockholm, while honouring the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing.

United’s victory over Ajax last night will have brought a brief respite to a devastated city and here at, we’re in full agreement with the former defender, that the club should embrace the opportunity to bring the city together and put a best foot forward in the face of such adversity.

“When we won the Champions League we paraded the trophy in the city centre, ending in the Arena and celebrated there. It was unbelievable,” Neville told BBC Radio 5 live. “After what happened on Monday, United should parade the trophy around Manchester and finish at the Arena.”

The club had no plans in place for a parade, even prior to the bombing.
