Liverpool Officially Sign Mohamed Salah from Roma for £34m

Liverpool have officially signed Mohamed Salah from Roma for £34 million. The 25-year-old arrives at Anfield on a fiver-year deal after two standout seasons at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

According to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Salah brings a “perfect mix” to the squad as the team prepares for pre-season training.

“He has the perfect mix of experience and potential – this is a really exciting signing for us,” Klopp explained.

“I have followed him since he emerged at Basle and he has matured into a really good player.

“His pace is incredible, he gives us more attacking threat and we are already strong in this area. I like that we will make it even more competitive.”

Salah’s addition to the attack with Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane has many fans of the English Premier League and neutrals salivating over what may be seen next term. The team also has Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi competing for a starting place, and Liverpool have the potential to be the most exciting attacking team in the league next season.

The deal between Liverpool and Roma had gone back and forth over the last few weeks. Roma had declared their intention to keep the player at the club, but with new manager Eusebio di Francesco and sporting director Monchi, Roma are moving ahead with a re-building project.
