Tottenham injury update ahead of North London Derby

Tottenham are preparing for Saturday’s North London Derby against rivals Arsenal. Spurs have had several injuries over the last few weeks, but the club come into the match winners of five from their last six. Unfortunately, the Tottenham injury update could put a damper on the excitement of the weekend’s match.

The international break hasn’t completely helped ease the injury burdens that Spurs have faced. During the international break, the likes of Harry Kane Dele Alli and Harry Winks missed England’s matches due to injuries. Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld also missed games for their respective nations.

Mousa Dembele has finally returned from his most recent injury and is expected to play at the Emirates on Saturday.

It is believed Mauricio Pochettino may have to call upon third choice goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga as Lloris may not be fit enough to play in goal. His back-up, Michael Vorm, is also suffering from injury and he too missed out on the Netherlands’ games over the break.

Goal.com believes Spurs will still be able to count on Kane and Alli, despite neither player being 100% for the weekend.

Tottenham will travel to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund in the middle of next week. Spurs currently lead group H and have qualified for the round of 16.
